Weldfast® Gasless mig wire.

The main reason that gasless mig wire has become so popular is that, as the name suggests, no shielding gas is required. For the hobby welder, not needing to hire a gas bottle, is a big saving. Another advantage in using gasless mig wire, is that you can weld outdoors and in windy conditions. With gas shielded welding, working in windy coditions is virtually impossible as the gas blows away and does not shield the weld.

Gasless welding is simlar to arc welding in that a slag forms on the weld and slows the cooling process.

WELDFAST® gasless mig wire is hollow with a flux inside. The finished weld is smooth with a light, easily removable slag.

WELDFAST® gasless mig wire is 0.9mm thick and is available in three spool sizes : 0.9kg, 4.5kg and 15kg.

WELDFAST® gasless mig wire conforms to the AWS E71T-11 standard.
